Under the vaults — Canon EOS 40D

The ceiling is the real subject here — painted barrel vaults in ochre, blue and brick red, repeating down the arcade until the eye stops trying to count them. This frame comes from a Canon EOS 40D and a memory card from 2010, rediscovered sixteen years later while building out the Istanbul archive; the market has since had its roof restored, so this version of the light doesn't exist anymore.
