Behind the camera
(“I was there”)
Welcome to the stories behind each frame.

Yerebatan Caddesi — Street Photography in Istanbul
Street photography in Istanbul along Yerebatan Caddesi — home to the ancient Basilica Cistern, one of the city's most dramatic underground spaces.
You may recognize it from a scene in the James Bond movie From Russia with Love.
Puigcerdà Lake — Winter Photography in the Pyrenees
Photography at the Puigcerdà lake in the Catalan Pyrenees — a quiet winter scene at 1,200 metres altitude on the border between Catalonia and France.
Murano Glassmakers — Venice (1)
The first of two posts from Murano — photographing Venice's legendary glass island, where centuries-old craft is still practised in family workshops.
The Soul of the Ebro — Jaume Plensa in Zaragoza
Photographing The Soul of the Ebro — Jaume Plensa's monumental 11-metre sculpture of letter-cells created for the 2008 International Exposition in Zaragoza.
