October 2026: Standing Still Among Ghosts
Under the arcade of the National Theatre in Prague, I pointed the camera at the glass of the entrance instead of through it. Several panes and a round porthole stacked their reflections on top of each other: stone arches, a coffered vault, the white façades across the street, the people waiting outside. In the middle of all that movement, a young woman in black stood perfectly still, her fringe over her eyes, a red bow at her waist, small white charms hanging from her bag. Everything around her multiplied. She didn't.
The light under the arches was low, so I shot wide open and let the glass build the layers.
